Flexion/Distraction
Flexion/Distraction technique has been used by Chiropractors across the world since the 1960's. It combines the use of longitudinal traction, targeted pressure on specific spinal segments, sideways movements and movements into flexion to address problems in the spine.
Thanks to an American Chiropractor by the name of Dr. James M. Cox, DC, DACBR the technique has been developed since that time, and has been researched and refined and is widely respected in the profession today.
Why do we mention it??? Flexion/distraction as it is known, requires a particular type of Adjusting table to enable it to be performed on patients. These tables are not available in every chiropractic office.
As a result of this, we are able to provide a unique service which is not available everywhere.
Several Chiropractors from the local area have referred for this type of treatment over the years, although no referral is necessary.
